Carl Junction rallies past Bolivar

CARL JUNCTION, Mo. — Carl Junction fell behind in the second half only to score the final two goals of the game on the way to a 2-1 win over Bolivar.

After a scoreless first half, Bolivar took the initial advantage with a goal in the 46th minute from Stella Scowden. 

Carl Junction tied it shortly after, with Ella Anderson converting a direct free kick into the back to the net in the 48th minute.

The Bulldogs took the lead for good in the 56th minute when Laykn Evans scored off the assist by Grace Carrier.

CJ goalie Jadyn Howard finished with 13 saves.

The Bulldogs are 4-5 on the season and take on Webb City Friday at 1.


Joplin beats Neosho

Joplin took a 2-0 lead and never gave it up in a 2-1 win over Neosho.

The Eagles opened the scoring on a PK before going up 2-0 early in the second half.

Sadee Depriest added a goal for Neosho midway through the second half.

Joplin is 6-5 on the season, while Neosho is 4-8.
