Published by Lucas Davis

The Carl Junction girls soccer team was led by Ella Anderson's five-goal performance in an overwhelming 8-0 win over McDonald County at Bulldog Stadium on Thursday.

The match began with an explosive start, as Anderson opened the scoring just four minutes in, converting an assist from Laykn Evans. The duo connected again five minutes later, with Anderson doubling the lead in the ninth minute. The onslaught continued as Anderson completed her hat-trick in the 17th minute, this time assisted by Grace Carrier.

Anderson wasn’t done, netting her fourth goal in the 23rd minute off another Evans assist. A minute later, Evans turned scorer, slotting home a goal assisted by Carrier to make it 5-0. Anderson capped her remarkable first half with her fifth goal in the 32nd minute, assisted by Ryleigh Palmer, sending the Bulldogs into halftime with a commanding 6-0 lead.

The second half saw Carl Junction maintain their dominance, though the pace slowed slightly. Greenly Wade added to the tally in the 58th minute, finishing a play set up by Anderson. Aubrey Sills sealed the rout in the 70th minute with an unassisted strike, rounding out the 8-0 scoreline.

Next up, Carl Junction will host Bolivar on April 22 at Bulldog Stadium.
