BASEBALL: Webb City, Joplin, Neosho and Seneca earn wins

WEBB CITY 5, LEBANON 0

Webb City scored five times in the first inning to set the tone in a win over Lebanon on Tuesday.

Bryer Robinson had two hits and drove in two to lead the Cardinals at the plate. Luke Beverlin had a hit, drove in one and scored once.

Tate Lewis earned the complete-game win after allowing just one hit, walking one and striking out six in seven innings.

NEOSHO 4, CENTRAL 0

Neosho peppered runs early and held Central off the scoreboard in a win on Tuesday.

Finn Versluis had two hits, including a double, and scored a run for the Wildcats. Kanten Smith had a hit, scored a run and drove in one.

Bostyn Patterson earned the complete-game win after seven scoreless innings. He scattered three hits, walked two and struck out 10.

JOPLIN 2, GLENDALE 1

Joplin scored a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game before walking off the win with a run in the eighth inning off an RBI double from Kutler Schwarting.

Schwarting had two hits in the win. Peyton Swenson had a hit and scored a run.

Brecken Green started and took a no-decision after pitching six innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits, walking two and striking out eight. David Bhend earned the win after striking out two over two scoreless innings.

SENECA 7, NEVADA 3

Seneca scored four runs in the sixth inning and added two more in the seventh and held off Nevada for a win on Tuesday.

Drew Sherwood had a hit and drove in two, while Silas Ball had two hits. 

Barrett Nadurata and Jett Snyder each had a hit and an RBI for Nevada.

Sherwood earned the win on the mound after allowing three runs on one hit, four walks and six strikeouts in six innings.

Caden Klumpp was saddled with the loss after allowing one run on four hits, a walk and six strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
