PREP BASEBALL: Carthage, Neosho, McAuley all victorious

CARTHAGE 5, CENTRAL 0

Carthage scored two runs in the first and played add-on in the third and fourth innings on the way to a win over Springfield Central on Tuesday.

Blayne Lilienkamp had two hits and drove in two to lead the Tigers at the plate. Jordan Brunnert and Brady Carlton each had a hit and drove in a run. Brunnert also scored once.

Carson Kinder earned the win after scattering two hits over 6 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out 13.

NEOSHO 16, WAYNESVILLE 0

Neosho started the barrage of runs with four runs in the first before adding eight more in the third and four more in the fourth to beat Waynesville in four innings.

Jaiden Williams had two hits, drove in two and scored a run, while Drake Jennings had two hits, scored three times and drove in one.

Bostyn Patterson earned the win after pitching four scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, walking one and striking out six.’

MCAULEY 11, VERONA 10

McAuley rallied with two runs in the last of the seventh inning to beat Verona.

Tripp Miller had two hits, three RBI and scored a run, while Guillermo Lechegua had three hits, scored twice and drove in one for the Warriors. Will Mollnow had two hits, scored twice and drove in once. 

NIXA 8, WEBB CITY 3

Nixa scored once in the fourth to break a 3-all tie and added four runs in the fifth inning to defeat Webb City on Tuesday.

Brock Renfro and Luke Beverlin each had a pair hits and drove in one for the Cardinals.

LEBANON 6, JOPLIN 3

After going to extra innings tied at 1-1, Lebanon scored five times in the eighth inning to beat Joplin on Tuesday.

Layne Royle had two hits and scored twice, while Peyton Swenson and Daniel Rose each had a hit and drove in one for the Eagles.

Brecken Green started and took a no-decision after allowing three runs on eight hits, a walk and eight strikeouts.
