4SBCA all-area teams are released

The Four States Basketball Coaches Association recently released its all-area boys and girls teams.

Webb City senior Holton Keith was named the 4SBCA Boys Player of the Year, while Aurora senior Kylee Cole was named the 4SBCA Girls Player of the Year.

Earning 4SBCA first-team honors were Webb City senior Eli Pace, Carthage senior Dylan Pugh, Nevada junior Mason Majors, Carl Junction junior Brody Pant, East Newton senior Braxton Wolfe, Joplin junior Fred Taylor, Neosho junior, Kaiden Asberry; Galena senior Jack Perry, McAuley Catholic senior Michael Parrigon and Monett senior Landyn Brandt.

Finishing with second-team recognition were Carthage senior Kruz Castor, Carthage junior Landon Ray, McDonald County junior Cael Carlin; Nevada junior Kellen Braden, Carl Junction junior Cooper Vediz, Diamond junior Adam Brown, Seneca senior Zane Grotjohn, Thomas Jefferson sophomore Jack Twiss, Neosho senior Kanten Smith and Lamar junior Talon Timmons.

Earning first-team honors for the girls were Liberal senior Taylor Swarnes, New Heights Christian senior Libby Fanning, Carthage senior Lauren Choate, Webb City sophomore Abby Sargent, Jasper senior Crystal Smith, McDonald County sophomore Dakota O’Brien, Diamond senior Lauren Turner, Lockwood freshman Asa Lasater, Nevada freshman Cora Braden and Joplin junior Alissa Owens.

Earning 4SBCA second-team recognition for the girls were Aurora senior Makena Hall, Webb City sophomore Addie Burns, Carthage senior Lexa Youngblood, McDonald County junior Jamie Washam, Exeter junior Emersyn Bass, Miller junior Rachel Nunez, Nevada freshman Grace Anderson and New Heights Christian senior Ava Lett.
