Webb City, Carthage and Carl Junction shine at SWMO Championships

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Southwest Missouri Women's Varsity Swimming Championships took place over the weekend with a strong showing from several local schools.

Webb City placed fourth overall, with Carl Junction taking seventh and Carthage finishing just outside the top 10 in 11th place.

Webb City relay team secures podium finish

Webb City's 200-yard medley relay team, featuring Norah Klosterman, Camryn Klosterman, Aspen Ritchie, and Alix Davis, claimed third place with a time of 1:59.78. 

In the 500-yard freestyle, Ritchie finished third with a time of 5:43.32, while teammate Norah Klosterman secured fifth place at 5:49.40. Camryn Klosterman also delivered a strong performance in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing sixth at 2:28.10.

Carthage’s Manning takes first in 100 breaststroke

Carthage’s Olivia Manning had an impressive showing in the100-yard breaststroke, taking first place in a time of 1:09.46.

She added another medal in the 200-yard individual medley, securing a second-place finish with a time of 2:21.07. 

Carl Junction’s Dogotch Sprints to the podium

Carl Junction’s Elyanna Dogotch showcased her speed in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing third at 25.11 seconds. She continued her dominance in the 100-yard freestyle, earning a second-place finish with a time of 55.55 seconds.

Carl Junction also excelled in the 200-yard freestyle relay, where their squad of Avari Fifer, Elsa Dogotch, Lilian Schultz, and Elyanna Dogotch placed second with a time of 1:46.19.

Thomas Jefferson’s Pruitt impresses in 200 IM

Thomas Jefferson’s Katerina Pruitt put in a stellar performance in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing third with a time of 2:21.58, narrowly behind Carthage’s Manning.
