SWIM: Webb City takes first place at COC West; Carthage second

The COC Swim Championships took place over the weekend and featured remarkable performances in several events.

The Webb City Cardinals took first place overall with a total team score of 348 points. The Carthage Tigers placed second in the COC West with 241 points.

In the girls 200-Yard Medley Relay, Webb City clinched first place in the West Division with a time of 1:59.55, led by standout swimmers Norah and Camryn Klosterman, Aspen Ritchie, and Alix Davis. 

The 400 freestyle relay was a highlight for Webb City as their team finished first with an impressive 3:59.69 to take first.

Carthage (Caelyn Samuelson, Olivia Manning, Kamryn Dininger and Anne Kennedy) followed with 2:02.35, while Joplin (Aurora Presacco, Brylea Smith, Claire Berryman and Evelyn Watson) secured third with 2:24.56.

Norah Klosterman dominated the 200 freestyle for Webb City with a 2:10.11 first-place finish. She also took first in the 500 free in a time of 5:49.13. Webb City’s Lorelai Fisher took second at 6:56.40.

Manning excelled in the 200 individual medley with a winning time of 2:21.93, closely followed by Webb City’s Camryn Klosterman (2:22.83). 

In the 50 freestyle, Davis led the pack for Webb City with 26.51 seconds, while Dininger earned second at 27.31 seconds for the Tigers. Davis returned to the podium for Webb City in the 100 freestyle, securing first place with 58.10 seconds

The 100 butterfly saw Elise Replogle from Republic take first place with 1:05.78, while Aspen Ritchie placed third for Webb City at 1:09.42.

Carthage's relay team shone in the 200 freestyle relay, winning with a time of 1:50.83,

Samuelson from Carthage led the Girls 100-Yard Backstroke at 1:07.57, and Manning added another win for Carthage in the 100 breaststroke, clocking in at 1:09.41. 

Webb City’s Kaedyn Lewis took first place in the 1-meter diving with a score of 248.
