On Monday, the Thomas Jefferson boys held Jasper to just one point in the fourth quarter to rally for a 40-37 win in the Lockwood Tournament.
Jack Twiss led the Cavaliers with 17 points, while Will Twiss finished with nine points and five steals.
Kohl Thurman added eight points and eight rebounds in the win.
The win moved the Cavs to 3-0 on the season, with TJ playing Rich Hill tonight.
NEW HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN BOYS 93, VERONA 29
New Heights Christian Academy earned their first win of the season after beating Verona in the Pierce City Invitational on Monday.
Ben Schumacher had 21 to lead the Cougars, while Broderick Burns finished with 17 in the win. Jadon Smith’s 14 points made it a trio of players in double figures for NHCA.
NEOSHO BOYS 68, WAYNESVILLE 39
Neosho limited Waynesville to two points in the first quarter to build a doubled-digit lead before ballooning the lead in the third quarter on the way to the season-opening win on Tuesday.
Kaiden Asberry finished the game with 21 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the Wildcats in the scoring column.
Houston Branscum closed with 10 points, while Quincy Simpson finished with eight.
CARL JUNCTION BOYS 78, FORSYTH JV 19
Carl Junction earned a win over the Forsyth JV to open up the 64th Annual Forsyth Tournament.
Brody Pant led the Bulldogs with 15 points, while Wyatt McAfee finished with 12 points in the win.
Kolby Martin added 11 points and Jett Mills closed with 10 to give CJ four players in double figures.
NEVADA BOYS 50, CARTHAGE 45
Nevada held a 10-point lead after the first quarter and held on to the lead throughout to earn the win over Carthage on Tuesday.
Landon Ray had nine points to lead Carthage.
Dylan Pugh and Trent Yates each had eight.
Kellen Braden had 14, while Mason Majors and Gabriel Smith each had 12 points to lead Nevada.
LOCKWOOD GIRLS 51, NEW HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN 44
Lockwood outpaced New Heights Christian Academy 18-8 in the fourth quarter on the way to a win in the Gem City Classic on Tuesday.
Libby Fanning had 22 points and 22 rebounds to lead the Cougars in the loss.
Kinley Marsh added nine points.
