Zimmer Marketing is proud to present our Week 9 Game of the Week with Class 3 second-ranked Seneca hosting Lamar brought to you by JL Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair and Elements Construction Concepts.
“We didn’t feel like we’ve played up to our standard the last two weeks,” Seneca coach Cody Hillburn said. “We get one more chance before it becomes do or die. So, it’s really important for us to get out there and play our best football.”
Seneca enters the game with an unblemished 8-0 record and is coming off a 63-21 win over East Newton. The Indians outgained East Newton 485 to 161 on the ground and 635 to 319 in total offense.
Kaden Clouse led the way for Seneca with 121 passing yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 155 yards and three touchdowns. Roman Miller added 11 carries for 173 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Hagen Ginger had eight tackles, seven solo, three sacks and five tackles-for-loss.
Lamar is 5-3 on the season and is coming off a 35-0 win over Aurora.
“(Lamar) is always very well prepared and has some very good athletes who have been dinged up a large portion of the year,” Hillburn said. “They’re starting to get healthy, so we are fully expecting them to come down here and give us a great game.”
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
