GAME OF THE WEEK: Webb City hosting No. 4 Carthage

Zimmer Marketing is proud to present our Week 8 Game of the Week with Webb City is hosting Class 5 fourth-ranked Carthage brought to you by JL Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair and Elements Construction Concepts. 

The matchup is on John Roderique Field at Cardinal Stadium and is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

The late-season rivalry game has Class 5 District 7 implications.

Carthage is currently the top seed with 47.38 points, while Webb City is currently the fourth seed with 35.19 points.

Carthage is coming off a 31-14 win over Republic, jumping out in front and never looking back.

Brady Carlton completed seven passes for 152 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing 14 times for 61 yards and another touchdown. Landyn Collins added 89 rushing yards, while Karson Murray caught two passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Trent Yates also caught a touchdown.

Carthage’s defense held Republic to under 200 yards of offense, with Jordan Brunnert leading the way with 12 total tackles, four for loss and a fumble recovery.

Webb City is coming off a bounceback win over Willard, 41-6. 

Jackson Lucas led Webb City with 10 completions for 202 yards and two touchdowns, while he also carried the ball 12 times for 52 yards. Mason Williams carried the ball nine times for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while Slade Hurd added eight touches for 39 yards and a score. 

Joseph DeGraffenreid caught three passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. Gus Karnes and Fisher Derrick each caught touchdown passes as well.
