SENECA 56, CARL JUNCTION 7

CARL JUNCTION, Mo. — In our Zimmer Marketing Week 6 Game of the Week featuring Class 4 No. 9 Carl Junction hosting Class 3 No. 2 Seneca brought to you by JL Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair and Elements Construction Concepts, it was the Indians who started fast and never looked back in the win over the Bulldogs.

Seneca remains perfect on the season with a 6-0 record while Carl Junction falls to 3-2.

The Indians took a 35-7 lead into the intermission and didn't look back in the second half.

Kaden Clouse had eight carries for 116 yards and a touchdown, while also completing a pair of passes for touchdowns to lead Seneca. Brodie Probert had 108 yards and three touchdowns on five carries and Roman Miller carried the ball 10 times for 58 yards and a score.

CARTHAGE 23, JOPLIN 20 (OVERTIME)

CARTHAGE, Mo. — It took overtime to decide, but it was Class 5 fourth-ranked Carthage that came out the victor in a Central Ozark Contest with Joplin on Friday.

Carthage took a 17-10 lead into the intermission before Joplin tied the game in the third quarter. Neither scored in the fourth, with the Tigers taking advantage in the extra period.

Brady Carlton led Carthage with 8-of-11 passing for 88 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing 25 times for 109 yards. Landyn Collins carried the ball 25 times for 151 yards and a touchdown.

Daniel Rose completed 9-of-22 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown, while Toryn Jones rushed 17 times for 141 yards and a touchdown to lead the Eagles on the stat sheet. Davin Thomas hauled in five passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. 

Defensively, Jumond Burrell had 19 total tackles (11 solo) to lead Joplin. Jariah Clark added 13 total tackles and Andrew Snider finished with 10.

REPUBLIC 15, WEBB CITY 13

REPUBLIC, Mo. — The Tigers rushed for 378 yards and held off the Cardinals in a COC contest  on Friday.

Preston McCracken led the way with 124 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Izaiah Hull had 83 yards on 15 carries and Mason Fleetwood added 62 yards on nine carries.

Andrew Young 84 yards and a touchdown on two carries, while Mason Williams had two carries for 75 yards to lead Webb City.

NEOSHO 49, WILLARD 14

Neosho bounced back from its first loss of the season with a comfortable win over Willard in Week 6 to improve to 5-1 on the year.

The Wildcatds rushed for six total touchdowns in the win. Cade Spiva led the way with 127 yards  and two touchdowns on seven carries. Denver Welch led the way in touchdowns with 12 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown. Bostyn Patterson added seven carries for 65 yards and a touchdown. Also scored for Neosho was Trey Hardin, and Chase Kivett.

Defensively for Neosho, Jaxon Ertel had 10 tackles (seven solo), while Kanten Smith picked off a pass as well as causing and recovering a fumble.

NEW HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN 60, PLATTSBURG 34

New Heights ballooned a slim lead by the intermission by outscoring Plattsburg 30-6 in the second half on the way to the win in 8-man action.

Logan Decker threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns, while gaining an additional 155 yards and three touchdowns on the ground as well. 

Levi Durling added 22 carries for 105 yards and touchdown as well as three 2-point conversions. He also caught four passes for 39 yards and a score. 

Cannon Miller caught three passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns and added 11 carries for 55 yards.
