VOLLEYBALL RECAP: Carl Junction, New Heights victorious

CARL JUNCTION 3, BRANSON 0
Carl Junction beat Branson 25-19, 25-18 and 25-17 on Tuesday to improve to 11-0 on the season while winning its Ozark Mountain Conference opener.

In the win, Karissa Chase had 18 kills, while Jadyn Howard closed with a team-high 36 assists. Jocelyn Wengert had 18 digs, while Caitlyn Kennedy had four aces in service. 


NHCA 3, EXETER 0

New Heights Christian defeated Exeter in a sweeping format, 25-9, 25-12 and 25-22, on Tuesday in Ozark 7 Conference play. 

Caitlyn Meppelink had 23 points in service to go along with eight aces. She added 23 assists. Toryn Fink had 13 service points with three aces and added 12 digs and nine kills.

Lydia Hipple finished with six kills and a block, while Lilly Plassman had 20 digs.

CARTHAGE 5, WAYNESVILLE 3

Carthage took advantage late and knocked off Waynesville in five sets on Tuesday by the scores of 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 23-25 and 15-10.

Carthage is back in action in the Dr. Jeffrey Knutzen CJ Classic Volleyball Tournament over the weekend.

Elise Willis had 14 kills, seven aces and 13 digs, while Sadie Comer added 18 digs. 

Jaidyn Brunnert had 22 assists, 19 digs, five aces and five kills. 

Briley Jadwin added 16 assists and nine digs, while Peyton Ray had 17 kills and 12 digs.

London Shepherd finished with six kills and three aces.
