The Carthage boys swim team took second place behind Blue Springs at the Carthage Duals on Tuesday.
Blue Springs took first with 307 points, while Carthage was next with 240. Joplin took third place with 170 points.
Carthage’s 200-yard medley relay team made up of William Wright, Maveric Allphin, Aydan Nye and Braxton McBride took first in 1 minute, 50.92 seconds.
The same group also won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:37.98.
Joplin’s team of Nathan Wardlow, Liam Jones, Parker Hinman and Isaiah Thom took second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.94.
Wright also took first place in the 100 breaststroke as well as second place in the 200 individual medley (2:07.91), while McBride took second in the 50 freestyle (23.42).
Wardlow took second in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:06.46 and Allphin took third in 1:09.21.
